Archive and Memory Stick Optimisation

Web pages are a convenient format to present information that might be of interest to people over a very extended period of time as it is possible to organise the information using hyperlinks so the user can easily click through to additional details. However, web pages are not particularly print friendly, so it is a good idea to use the Adobe PDF format (which can be very print friendly) for text and image rich information where the presentation and layout really matter. It is possible to design the set of web pages so they will run happily from any web server, CD, DVD or Memory stick. Unlike an ordinary website, there will be no opportunity to carry out updates to correct errors, or to allow for changes in browser behaviour due to new releases, as there may be many copies in circulation.
